For as
many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye
have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the
Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth
witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: Romans 8:14-16
Today, we are called to
celebrate our earthly father and give honor and respect to them. In some cases
the earthly fathers were men not known, spoken of, or heard from. In some cases
the fathers were not fathers at all and caused more pain and hurt than healing
and encouragement. It is in this day and time that we are called even more to
celebrate those known and unknown.
Even maybe in the fact you
didn’t know your earthly father, just the fact you are here says you have a
dad and therefore you are someone’s child. Now may be the time you are called
to forgive those who have hit you, hurt you, abandoned, rejected or abused you.
Now is the day to cry out to a heavenly father that says you were not brought
into this world to be a slave to the bondage of fear, bitterness and resentment.
So therefore God, your father above says,” Look up, look out, call out, cry
out to me”. God sees your pain and heartache and he says, to forgive, to cry
out, to turn away from the past to turn towards the future of a new hope, a new
life, a new day and a new family.
God says, he wants you to
right now break off the orphan spirit that has tried to rob you of inheritance
and relationship. God wants you to celebrate your life and the men he used to
bring you breath on earth and honor them. This is a part of your healing and
deliverance, This is a part of your step from the darkness in to His marvelous
light. So for all of us who never knew, who knew in part our fathers, we turn
from pain to acceptance that all things work for good to those that love the
Lord and we speak blessings to our earthly fathers and we speak God’s will and
power into their lives and we speak honor and respect to them not knowing and
understanding in full of what they endured or went through.
So this day we lift our
voices in one cry and one shout to say Father God through your power and
strength I now call out to the heavenly realm to touch my earthly father to
bless him, to strengthen him, to shower on him love and kindness and to say I
forgive as I was and am forgiven.
Many
of us are fathers and we also cry out to say,” Help us Lord to be the man and
father I should be to break off and stand against generational curses that would
try to flow through me. I cry out the river of mud stops here!
I cry out Lord I honor those
before me and I also lift my eyes towards heaven and proclaim this too your day,
as I celebrate life, love liberty and all you have given to me as I honor you,
my abba, my father.
