Routine
Most
of us are creatures of habit. Most of the time I enjoy having my routines and
schedules.
I
usually start the morning by reading devotions, prayer, and sometimes this is
accompanied by breakfast.
Most
of our routines are needed and some are just for comfort. A nice routine with no
surprises is comfortable albeit not always exciting.
The
danger of routine is that we can make our friends, loved ones and even God
simply part of that routine. They can be taken for granted if their simply part
of the routine.
We
can lose our sense of intimacy with them and our joy if we’re not careful.
God
doesn’t want to be part of our daily routine. He wants to be Lord of our
lives. There is a huge difference between the two.
The
Lord says: "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with
their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made
up only of rules taught by men. Isaiah 29:13 NIV
Today
as you worship, break out of the routine and let Jesus touch your heart again.
Let Holy Spirit permeate every fiber of your being and rejoice in His presence.
Until
next time, may the love of God, friends and family be anything but part of your
routine. Celebrate life with them.

Are
you stuck in a rut so big that the walls seem like canyons? Give your life over
to Jesus. If you’ve simply drifted from Him, turn to Him and ask Him back into
your life.
If
you’ve never known Him, email me. I’ll share a few Bible verses that will
explain why a personal relationship with Him is so important and a prayer that
will make it possible.
Experience
the joy He has for you today!
