My nephew doesn't like to use hair conditioner. Even
though I have told him that his hair would be softer,
he still wouldn't use hair conditioner. For him, his
hair is already soft. For him it is enough to shampoo
it. Even if I tell him that his hair could be softer,
he still does not want to improve the condition of
his hair. Maybe because he is a growing teenager
he thinks that hair conditioner is only for girls.
Maybe he just doesn’t want to do anything extra for his hair,
it's just a hair after all.
I got surprised one day when he called me from the
bathroom and asked me how much conditioner his hair
needs. I happily told him how much and told him how
to use the hair conditioner properly. A while later
, I saw him grinning as he combed his short hair
repeatedly. I asked why and he told me his hair felt
so soft like a feather. He said he didn't even have
to comb his hair, because it seemingly falls in its proper
place. I smiled back at him and said, "I told you
so!"
Sometimes people are like that. They don't want to
change because they are comfortable with what they
have and where they are right now. They often express
refusal to try something better because they thought
they are already comfortable with where they are right
now. However, until they come to Jesus and believe in God
then they do not know what they were missing .
Until
they see and understand God's plan in
their lives; and how much God wanted to bless and give
them a full life they refuse to change their beliefs
and faith.
John 10:10, Jesus said that he came here to give
life and that we may enjoy it fully. The
Message
Sure,
there
would be difficulties, problems and trials but we
don't need to carry and shoulder all this heaviness
alone. Jesus is there willing to help us and give us
peace in our heart despite difficult circumstances.
Why wait any longer.
May we open up our
hearts and let Jesus reign in our lives,
So that we may experience a
full life now.
