VERY
IMPORTANT! PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO EVERYONE IN YOUR CONTACT LIST On
Thursday, April 10th at 6:30 p.m. there will be a special broadcast of New
Mexico Crystal Darkness. It will be airing on almost every television
station in New Mexico. This is an historic and unprecedented opportunity
to educate the community and our youth about the deadly dangers of Crystal
Methamphetamine. The television stations are being EXTREMELY generous in
their gift to the community and there will even be a Spanish version
available as well (which will be aired Saturday, April 12th at 10:30
a.m.). This
terrible drug is tearing apart families, communities, businesses, cities,
states and nations. This is part of a massive nationwide effort to fight
back against this drug, but Thursday, April 10th is New Mexico’s
opportunity to do something about it. Make
sure you plan on making it a priority to watch this program with your
entire family. Please do your friends, co-workers and neighbors a great
favor by forwarding this e-mail and flyer to everyone on your list. Do
not miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in a massive
community wide effort. For more information you can go to
www.crystaldarkness.com. New Mexico is only the 7th state to have a campaign like this and the other states that have had similar initiatives have seen positive results in their communities regarding meth. PLEASE share this with family members, friends, co-workers, church and civic leaders, and everyone you know. The more people who watch this will result in a better chance of fighting this scourge. THANKS…Darrel |

If
my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and
seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven
and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be
open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. I have
chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever.
My eyes and my heart will always be there.
2 Chronicles 7:14-16 There
are many fine organizations and millions of dollars spent in fighting the
drug war! This war has been fought over and over. The drug war will never
be won with just natural means. It is a spiritual battle as well. The
cause of what gets people addicted to drugs can be talked about and
debated as can the cures we seek to effect.
As a former drug addict, alcoholic and member of an outlaw
motorcycle gang, I can speak first hand of the destruction to persons,
families and society. The
natural man has certain strengths and abilities to overcome certain
barriers but not all barriers. I
had tried to quit my rebellious lifestyle more than once and never had
long term success until I learned of a power greater than the drugs and
lifestyle I worshipped. There are many good programs out there but none
worked for me the way a personal relationship with God has. Reading the
Bible and committing to a personal relationship with God gave me a hope
and even a consciousness I had never encountered before. It gave me
something bigger than myself and longer lasting than the “high” I
experienced as a person lost in the world of things that I chose to stay
bound to. Years
later after having served at the rescue missions, jails and prisons and
counseling thousands of men and women I stand by my conviction that this
is a spiritual war and so we must employ all resources available secular
and spiritual. Please support all the fine organizations seeking to make
an effect in this area. What
man could not do for me God did, so I will not limit anyone in the
approach to freedom, deliverance and healing. Will you? Darrel

I
stick the needle in my arm, pulling the band tighter making sure the vein
is available. I pull back the
plunger watching the syringe fill with blood; knowing I’m where I should
be to get “my bump” for the time being; my jolt, my fix, not going to
deep so I don’t poke through the vein and waste my high.
I continue to watch the blood pulled into the syringe. The darkest,
red, crimson in color, scarlet red. It’s
then a story comes into my mind of blood, pain, death, and life.
Here I am using my own blood to kill me.
Oh, the temporary result is a feeling of satisfaction, power.
But the story of another’s blood keeps haunting me.
His blood when given saved people gave everlasting peace,
everlasting joy. My blood
kills, his blood heals. Why?
What is it in me that wants me to destroy myself?
My blood now polluted with drugs is killing me.
I slowly pull the syringe out of my arm, untie the band, break off
the needle, and throw the syringe away. I look at the tracks, scars on my
arm from repeated self-poisonings. Why
should I die? Where is the
blood that gives life? The
blood of hope, blood of salvation. If
I want to inject something into my life I need that blood.
The blood of Jesus, his is the only blood that heals.
So I ask each of you, no matter what you’re injecting into your
life that is killing you day by day.
I ask you turn away before it’s too late,
to come to the cross; to put Jesus in your life; into your blood.
To fill yourself with hope, peace, love, joy, eternal life all
through Christ. Please stop
killing yourself, so you can live forever with Jesus. Darrel
