        to  have the necessary courage or boldness for something;

        be bold enough

to have the boldness to try; venture.

In the school system we teach our children to stay out of harms way with a program called "D.A.R.E.," which challenges them to remain drug free.

 

In the same way we should challenge ourselves spiritually, physically and mentally to stay away from things that will hurt us.

 

Often in this position of "dare" there is hurt and pain involved and so often we will not "dare"to put ourselves in a position like this. Yet Christ willingly suffered to the point of death for us, but we are afraid to even allow our ego to get bruised.

 

Today, I challenge all of us to make today a day

that from now on ---- I will:

Dare to draw a line in the sand, FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS'
 SAKE

Dare to stand against the world system,  WHEN IT GOES AGAINST THE
 PRINCIPLES OF GOD.

Dare to stand up against popular opinion OVER CHOOSING WHAT IS
 PROPER AND RIGHT.

Dare to stick out like a healed thumb.

Dare to be disliked by some FOR THE SAKE OF THE
GOSPEL.

Dare to build a fence of moral boundaries around you.

Dare to be different IN LIFESTYLE, INTEGRITY AND
CHARACTER.

Dare to stand head and shoulders above the crowd FOR
JUSTICE AND EQUALITY.

Dare to be a leader, instead of a follower.
