One of the blessings about writing "According to your Faith" every day is the variety of responses I get in my email box. Many are encouraging, often people share the struggles of their lives, and still others are decidedly hostile. I never quite know what to expect in my inbox.

A precious lady replied back after Tuesday’s devotional on the railroad cars. I have asked two of the ministry team to respond to her questions and so that others will be helped I will present these responses over the next couple of days. Here today is the response from Janet and the devotional at the bottom so there will be a reference point for those of you reading...God Bless ......Darrel

Darrell,

What if you are ‘sitting on the sidelines’ waiting to be used—you are broken down and somewhat battered and a little rusty even perhaps but still you want to be used…you are longing and waiting and yearn to be used like all the other ‘cars’…and you have even come to see where perhaps your greater potential lies and how you could be used—but maybe you don’t know how to get from point a to point b…maybe you are having trouble breaking through the barriers of man…maybe you reach out/step out, but keep getting ‘slapped back’…what then?

There is a song by Dennis Jernnigan that says, "Battered, broken, beaten, used, left your identity confused...Wounds on wounds that never end; feels like home but cage you in. But...You are more than your woundings. Put on the truth and believe!" If this describes how you feel, then the first thing to do is examine yourself. What are the things that leave you feeling this way? Those are the things that need healing.

Part of our preparation before being used is to be healed of rejections, hurts, betrayals, and failures. The good news is that God is the Great Physician and came to heal all! We have to tear down the lies of the enemy and renew our mind! As we "put on the truth and believe" then our souls (mind, will, and emotions) are restored and come into alignment with our spirit. Run to Jehovah Rapha to receive your healing. Admit to Him that there are areas that need a touch from Him and ask Him what your part is. Do you need to forgive anyone? Do you need to cleanse your life by repenting and renouncing any past sins in your own life or in your family line? Thank Him for putting the hunger in your life for more of Him and the desire to serve Him. Cry out to Him that you don't know what to do next, but according to Proverbs 3:5-6, you will no longer lean on your own understanding but in ALL your ways you will acknowledge Him, therefore He WILL direct your path!

Nothing including man or the enemy will be able to stop your walking in your destiny, because you WILL hear the voice of the Lord saying this is the way walk ye in it.(Isaiah 30:21)You hear His voice clearly, because the word of the Lord says, "My sheep hear my voice and follow Me!"(John 10:4) You are the head and not the tail.(Deuteronomy  28:13) No weapon formed against you shall prosper!(Isaiah 54:17) Speak the truth. Don't believe the lies of the enemy that would tell you differently. Silence him by bringing every thought captive and making it obedient to Christ casting down every imagination that sets itself up against the knowledge of God!(2 Corinthians 10:4-5) No man can shut a door opened by the Lord.(Revelation 3:8) If you get slapped back, then get back up. The feet that are shod with the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15) were described by Paul as he looked at Roman soldiers' shoes which had spikes on the bottom of them to help the soldiers stay planted even on a wet slippery hill during battle. A soldier must remain standing. He must wear all his armor to protect himself from the enemy's attack, because a wounded soldier must be removed from battle in order to heal.

Fight the good fight! It is a battle that is assured victory, but it must be walked out. If you fall, get back up. If you get wounded, run to the Great Physician. If you don't know what to do, wait on orders from your General. Above all, rest assured that if you are fighting in the army of God, you are not taken out of the battle until He takes you home! The key is to discern if God is waiting on you to move or if you are waiting on His next word.

What is the last thing God asked you to do? Have you done it? God is a God of purpose. We must exercise the gifts we have before He will give us more. As we are faithful to the things God has called us to do, He is faithful to bring increase and equip us with the gifts we need to fulfill our destiny which will always bring Him glory!! Be strong and courageous you mighty soldiers of God.
