It should be comforting to know that in the largest scale world calamity, the flood, which wiped out all people upon the earth except the family of Noah--God sat enthroned in Heaven. God knows what we are going through. He is fully aware of your circumstances. He is not surprised with what you are facing. He knows the most recent attack the enemy has thrust upon you. God is still King of kings and Lord of lords!

Sometimes we forget this and wonder why He is allowing such things in our lives and why He seems so slow to do something about it. There are times when God is not going to do something. He has already accomplished the work on the cross. Remember, Jesus said, “It is finished.” When we find ourselves in trying circumstances, we must remember that there are things we do to ourselves that open doors to hell in our lives. Anytime we sin, we give the devil a foothold in our life. When we speak death instead of life, we invite hell in as well. The word says when we know and speak the truth, we can recover ourselves and set ourselves free.

2 Timothy 2:25-26 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Proverbs 12:6 The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.

When the enemy brings a spiritual attack to hinder our work for the Lord, we must remember that he has no power that God hasn’t allowed him to have. Therefore, what the enemy means for our harm, God means it for our good. Christ gave us authority over the enemy. Any attack against us is an opportunity to learn to appropriate our authority. God has already done His part. He is not going to do our job. The Holy Spirit will however, lead and guide us as we learn to battle.

God is enthroned. God is in control. God has not looked the other way. Can you see your circumstance as an opportunity? 

DECLARATION: I am a child of the Most High God! He is very aware of what I am going through. He is not surprised. He has not left me alone, but is right by my side! I have prayed that I want to know Him better, so this situation is an opportunity to trust my heavenly Father even more.

I will not be afraid or dismayed. I will be strong and courageous, because I am more than a conqueror, and He that is in me is greater than he that is in the world! And Satan, you have no power in my life. Anything you throw at me, God is fully aware of and has allowed in my life to help me grow stronger. I will not allow you to bring me fear or discouragement.

 No hindrance you have placed before me will succeed. I take authority over you in the name of Jesus. No longer will you come after me, because I’m coming after you! Everything you have tried to plant in my life is being uprooted and any and all fruit of your labor will be destroyed!
