Happy Mother’s Day!

Honor your mothers tomorrow and every day. It is a commandment with a promise attached to it. Call her, go see her, and give honor to her, not just your biological mothers but your spiritual mothers as well.

Exodus 20:12 KJV
Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Mom:

She's the face that smiled and cried when you were
first born.  She thought you were perfect by just looking at and holding you.

She stayed up late to attend to your needs and she woke up early at the slightest cry.

She's your cheerleader, when you need encouragement. Your coach when you need teaching. She has always believed in you even when you can't even believe in yourself.

Ok, sometimes she will overdo it.  She's all over you when
you want to be alone.  She's always there when you
want to see other people.  She calls and reminds you
when you already know what to do.

You wish she'd just give you a little space to be by yourself.

And yet, she's the first person we want to be with
when bad things happen to us.  She's the only person
we know who'd support us without judgment when we have made a mess of things.

(yeah, at one time the "I told you so" did escape from her mouth, but she embraced you still).

When we're heart broken, frustrated, disappointed, and giving up, she's still there.
Our lives would be empty if we didn't have mothers.
Who would teach us to love and to trust, if she's not there?

Who would show us charity and practical Christianity if we didn't see her embodying it?

We need heart to become a whole person.  And our mom is our heart.

Happy mother's day to every Mother.

Tell your mom you love her,

if you already did, tell it to her again.
Thank her for just being there in your life,

in the first place you wouldn't be reading this

if not for your mom!
