Psalm
23:5a KJV - Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.
Never
consult an enemy.
Trying to explain yourself to an enemy is an exercise in futility, not to
mention a waste of time and energy.
Never try to appease your enemy. Historically, appeasement has a 100% failure
rate.
If it weren't for enemies you would have no opportunities to grow in the agape
love of God. Jesus said we are to "pray for our enemies..."
How would one grow in the love of God if there were no enemies to practice
loving on.
Your enemy is anyone or anything that tries to prevent you from doing the will
of God.
The presence of an enemy may actually mean you are doing something right. You
have drawn the enemy's attention by your acts of obedience to God.
It is naive to think you will not have any enemies.
Your obedience to God will create enemies.
Without enemies Jesus would have never been crucified and resurrected. It took
the existence of enemies to propel Jesus towards exaltation.
Sometimes God will use an enemy to "kick" you out of your comfort zone
into the next phase of your life and ministry.
An enemy cannot keep you from feasting with the Lord. Only you can do that.
