Revelation 3:8 says, “See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it.” When God opens a door, it remains open. In John 10:9 Jesus tells us, “ I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” God opened the door for us to be saved through faith in Christ.
Sometimes we think of the word to save as to rescue us from damnation, but the Greek word for save is sozo and according to Strongs it means to save, deliver, protect, heal, and make whole. God’s intention is not just to keep us from going to hell, but to deliver us from bondage, protect us from the evil one, heal our bodies and our emotional wounds, and make us whole in body, soul, and spirit. His gift is available on this earth before we face our Lord in heaven.
Our door to the salvation we need today, is always through Christ!
In Christ there is eternal life! (Romans 6:23)
In Christ there is healing! (1 Peter 2:24)
In Christ there is provision according to his riches in glory! (Philippians 4:19)
In Christ there is forgiveness of sin! (Ephesians 1:7)
In Christ there are new beginnings! (2 Corinthians 5:17)
In Christ there is strength and grace! (2 Timothy 2:1)
In Christ there is peace that surpasses all understanding! (Philippians 4:7)
In Christ there is freedom from bondage! (Galatians 5:1)
In Christ there is wisdom! (1 Corinthians 4:10)
In Christ there is comfort and He will wipe away every tear! (1 Corinthians 1:3, Revelation 7:17)
In Christ there is direction and guidance! (John 10:27)
In Christ there is protection from the enemy! (2 Thessalonians 3:3)
In Christ we have been given every spiritual blessing! (Ephesians 1:3)
Jesus said, “IF anyone enters by Me, he will be saved. Will you enter? The door has been opened and no one can shut it, but no one can force you to walk through it either.
